A Flying Flea. Mount Lyell DP1, ex TGR DP18 or 19. The opportunity to preserve this was turned down, apparently. Reason? No engine

Re: David Lidster's photos
Anyone have any idea what the Wisconsin engine is bolted to the end of the QQT for?

Re: David Lidster's photos
The tops of hydraulic cylinders can be seen at the top centres of each of the visible hopper sides and a hydraulic fluid storage tank is just visible under the canopy behind the engine. The engine would power a hydraulic pump. The QQT is on diagram W84. Bit of a gumbo slap up job. Chassis looks to be FFF with these, I assume, side tipping hoppers rather roughly mounted. If they are tipping, then they only tip one way. Looks to be carrying demolition rumble.
